James is 11 months old!

James is 11 months old! Man, how time flies. Everyone tells you to enjoy those first few months, because they go by in a flash. Man, were they right. I can't believe in a month we will be celebrating James' first anniversary on this earth.

I don't have additonal pictures, but I want talk about what James is up to so I won't forget.

James LOVES his Daddy. If I get him out of the bed in the morning, as soon as we are in arms reach of him, James is reaching for Daddy. Jay is such a good Daddy. He is so attentive to James and wants to play with him all the time.

James doesn't have any teeth yet, but somehing makes me want to believe that he is cutting them right now. He hasn't been himself lately and I can see the white in his gums. I full expect to go in to get him one morning and there will be teeth cut through! Stayed tuned for details.

James crawls everywhere! At first he crawled with his leg out to the side. We called it his "gimp leg" crawl. He now pretty much crawls everywhere. The cutest thing he does is when it is time for his bath, I go down the hall to his bathroom and I call his name and crawl so fast down the hall for bathtime! I love it!

James also pulls up on a lot of stuff: his high chair, the diaper box, his exercauser, his daddy's leg...he's all over the place. He hasn't really tried to take any steps or anything yet, butI know it's coming in his future.

James doesn't have a whole lot of words yet. He does say dada A LOT! Jay swears he says Ma Ma too, but I haven't heard it. Even yesterday we were in the grocery store and he pointed to a ballon and said "ba". I consider that progress.

The plans are well under way for James' first birthday. Matter of fact, I ordered the invitations today. I can't wait!

5 Months Old

James was 5 months old on Sunday and I just got the pictures taken last night.

James you are a great baby! Daddy and I are so in love with you! It seems like each day one of us says to the other - how much do you love this little guy?

You have been eating cereal for about a month now. You are up to three tablespoons. You are so eager to eat, most of the time you have your mouth open in anticipation of the next bite before I can get the cereal on the spoon. Just this week we have started adding vegetables to the regiment. Of course, we started with carrots and you love them. I started with just a little bit, to get you used to them and also to make sure you weren't allergic, but tonight you were begging for more!

However, you are not as good about drinking your bottle. For some reason, we can't you to always drink the 6 oz. that you should. I am hoping that it is just phase!

We weighed you unofficially on our scale and you were about 13.5 lbs. I am hoping by your 6 month appointment in December that you will be 15 lbs, because you will have doubled your birth weight.

When it comes to sleep, we are working on getting you to fall asleep on your own. It's so hard not to hold and love you as you fall asleep each night, but we know this is the best thing for you.

James - you are the light and love of our life! There is nothing we wouldn't do for you! Next month you are going to get to meet your cousins and I can't wait!

James is 3 Months Old

James was three months old on Tuesday. Man, how time flies. He just started laughing last week and he is beginning to make lots of different noises. He is a super good baby. We have moved him to his crib and that was smooth. We also just started adding some rice cereal to his bottle at night to help him sleep through the night. He's not consistently sleeping through the night, but he will surprise us ever now and then. We are trying to establish a bed time routine. His reports from school everyday are that "he had a good day" - which makes me feel good. He has made "friends" with the other babies in his class and he loves his teachers - Miss Sharice and Miss Perry. His smile is amazing and no matter what kind of day you had, when you get there to pick him up and he smiles at you, it all melts away.

A couple of pictures for your viewing pleasure.
